Overview

As a Senior Structural Engineer at Rendel, you will lead innovative structural engineering solutions on large-scale underground structures and tunnelling projects.

In Short

• Lead assignments in the UK and overseas on underground structures and tunnelling projects.
• Develop business opportunities and build client relationships.
• Deliver engineering solutions and report results to managers and clients.
• Undertake structural design and analysis using various design software.
• Monitor staff time and budgets against assignment programme.
• Assist in the management of the design process and coordination with teams.
• Support technical staff recruitment, training, and development.
• Maintain strong relationships with other disciplines within the firm.
• Support Graduates in their processes for completion of Chartership.
• Act as a line manager as required.

Requirements

• Professionally qualified and Chartered Civil Engineer.
• Experience in underground structures and tunnelling.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and international industry standards.
• Experience managing large scale infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge in structural analysis/finite element software.
• Programming knowledge in VBA or Python is advantageous.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• People management experience is beneficial.
• Ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
