Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on NOC Engineer to keep our service-provider network running smoothly around the clock. You will monitor backbone links, troubleshoot L2/L3 incidents, provision new customer services, work closely with upstream partners and escalate issues when needed.

In Short

• Real-time monitoring of core, aggregation and access devices (SNMP, flow, optical levels).
• Troubleshoot L2/L3 incidents involving BGP, OSPF/ISIS, MPLS-based L2 VPN (EVPN-VPLS, EoMPLS) and QinQ.
• Work with upstreams & IX peers: bring up / tune BGP sessions, manage route filters, coordinate maintenance.
• Provision new services: customer BGP configs, VLAN/QinQ hand-offs, VRF updates and server NIC checks.
• Escalate & coordinate with Tier-2/3, data-center ops and vendors; keep tickets up to date in Jira/ServiceNow.
• Document everything: CMDB updates, SOP improvements, incident & change reports via email/slack.
• Capacity & traffic engineering support: apply BGP communities, prepends, RTBH, Flowspec when required.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and MPLS technologies.
• Experience with network documentation and ticketing systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with upstream partners and teams.
