Senior Backend Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot + LLM Workflow Integration) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern API architectures. This role goes beyond traditional backend development. You will design and integrate AI-driven workflows and backend components that power LLM-enabled product features.

In Short

• Design and build scalable backend services using Java + Spring Boot
• Develop and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs
• Design and integrate LLM workflows that support AI-enabled features
• Implement internal orchestrations and backend flows around LLMs and inference APIs
• Integrate backend services with embeddings, vector stores, and AI inference APIs
• Work closely with the AI platform team
• Improve service performance, reliability, observability, and code quality
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and solution design
• Troubleshoot distributed systems and AI-integrated backend processes

Requirements

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Gradle and Microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
• Experience designing backend systems around LLM workflows and AI service integration
• Ability to work with embeddings, vector stores, and inference APIs
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to operate in fast-moving, cross-functional environments
