Overview

The Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist at Hitachi Energy will promote a strong health, safety, and sustainability culture while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

In Short

  • Promote health, safety, and sustainability culture.
  • Guide team members to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Maintain Health and Safety Management System in compliance with ISO45001.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage incident investigations.
  • Ensure environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and share reports on safety KPIs.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response training.
  • Manage workplace inspection programs.
  • Travel extensively to urban and rural areas as required.
  • Collaborate with customers and contractors on HSE matters.

Requirements

  • Practical knowledge of HSE matters.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethics and accountability.
  • Team player with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other applications.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Environmental Health & Safety.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Provincial and Federal HSE laws.
  • Experience in maintaining ISO certifications preferred.
