Join a remote-first team at Hiro as a Senior Software Engineer focused on API development.
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for our developer platform.
Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to deliver seamless developer experiences.
Optimize APIs for performance and reliability, ensuring high uptime and low latency.
Automate testing processes to maintain code quality and ensure smooth deployments.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture discussions.
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to maintain stability and security.
Work across the stack as needed, with a focus on backend APIs.
5+ years of software development experience required, with strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or Rust.
Competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 per year.

Requirements

5+ years of software development experience, focusing on backend systems or API-driven services.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Rust.
Experience designing, building, and scaling web APIs or microservices.
Hands-on experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with cloud and container infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes).
Passion for code quality and automation.
Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration.
Self-driven and ownership-minded.
