Part-Time AV Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time AV Engineer to support our team by reviewing project documents before technicians go on-site and creating comprehensive checklists to ensure smooth execution.

In Short

• Review and analyze AV project drawings, schematics, and specifications before installation.
• Identify potential challenges and ensure all necessary materials, tools, and resources are prepared.
• Develop step-by-step checklists for technicians covering installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements for seamless execution.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to address pre-installation concerns.
• Create and maintain punch lists to track outstanding tasks and necessary corrections.
• Provide documentation and feedback for continuous process improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years in AV engineering, system design, or installation, preferably for US-based companies.
• Strong understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and integration best practices.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in project documentation.
• Ability to write clear and concise technical checklists and punch lists.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, D-Tools, or similar AV design software is a plus.
• Must be able to work part-time during US business hours.
