Software Development Engineer III - Remote

Overview

HighLevel is seeking a Software Development Engineer III who will own features end-to-end, working on both backend architecture and frontend delivery in a remote-first environment.

In Short

• Work in a global, remote-first team with over 1,500 members.
• Own feature delivery from concept to production for the Sub-Accounts platform.
• Design APIs, implement backend logic, and build clean, responsive frontend experiences.
• Build and evolve highly scalable microservices using Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, and Kubernetes.
• Proactively fix systemic issues and drive performance optimizations.
• Strengthen security and improve observability across the stack.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with QA.
• Engage in on-call rotation and incident resolution.
• Write production code daily and ship complete features fast.
• Excited to work on multi-account management and permissions systems.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Node.js and MongoDB.
• Solid production experience with Redis and Kubernetes.
• Experience with major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Ability to build responsive UIs with modern frameworks.
