Animateur cinématiques / Senior Cinematic Animator - Remote

Overview

We are Highdive, a NetEase Games ThunderFire development studio from Montreal. Bond by no borders, we create games that let us dive into pure emotions, together. We are looking for a Senior Cinematic Animator to join our team and help shape the future of this studio. Our current project has high aim for quality and we are excited to bring more highly experienced individuals to continue this growth. Your role with us will be focused on helping us build the best animation pipeline based on your experience and setting a AAA standard through your animation skills.

In Short

• Create high quality cinematic animations.
• Using motion capture data in a wide range of fashion.
• Ability to keyframe custom animations including facial and stylized characters.
• Collaborate effectively with the Cinematics and Animation Director.
• Communicate animation intentions via 2-D and/or 3-D previz.
• Knowledge in camera language for scene setup.
• Collaborate with different departments.
• Problem solve technical and creative issues.
• Help develop an animation workflow on a new IP.
• Share and apply previous experience to improve animation processes.

Requirements

• Over 5 years professional animation experience in AAA video games.
• Strong animation principles in body and facial.
• Able to work in a game engine.
• Mastery of Maya and Motionbuilder.
• Unreal experience is a bonus.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
