Overview

The Manager of Regulatory Affairs plays a pivotal role in supporting Harbor Health's health plan business by ensuring regulatory compliance and spearheading our health plan's day-to-day regulatory affairs activities.

  • Manage Regulatory Filings: Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all federal and state laws.
  • Conduct Regulatory Research: Perform thorough regulatory research to support policy development and decision-making.
  • Monitor Legislation and Rulemaking: Track and analyze state and federal rulemaking, legislative changes, and industry trends.
  • Disseminate Regulatory Updates: Effectively communicate relevant regulatory changes and updates to internal teams.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure regulatory considerations are integrated.
  • Support Compliance Initiatives: Assist in the design and enhancement of compliance frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in regulatory affairs or compliance within the health insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in navigating regulatory databases and interpreting health insurance regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and proactive in managing potential regulatory issues.
