Overview

Handshake is hiring a Director, Sales Development to lead and inspire a team of Sales Development professionals. You will partner closely with Sales Leadership to develop and execute winning sales strategies, set team wide goals and exceed team and individual quota attainment.

In Short

  • Manage, mentor, develop and drive the performance of SDR Manager(s) and Sales Development Representatives.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach and develop SDR Manager(s) and SDRs/BDRs.
  • Analyze current outreach and opportunity generation practices.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Operations to optimize lead volume and quality.
  • Develop and execute lead generation campaigns with Marketing.
  • Proactively develop new strategies to accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Strategize on headcount planning and pipeline targets.
  • Support mentorship and development of the SDR organization.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement for training curriculum needs.
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the broader Sales team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales or sales leadership experience.
  • 5+ years managing Sales Development Representatives.
  • Proven success leading and growing SDR organizations.
  • Experience building and leading an SDR organization with 20+ people.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve organizational roadblocks.
  • Experience exceeding expectations of executive leadership.
  • Robust Salesforce analysis and reporting skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
