• Familiarity with tools like Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7 is a plus.
• Basic scripting skills in languages like BASH, PowerShell, or Python are beneficial.
• Understanding of operating systems and networking concepts is required.
• Strong communication skills are necessary to articulate complex information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Security or related discipline preferred.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, C#, PHP, Ruby or .NET.
• Hands-on experience hardening systems to benchmarks like CIS, NIST.
• Familiarity with Information Security tools like Nessus, Kismet, Nmap, etc.
• Ability to interpret vulnerability scan results and build remediation strategies.
• Ability to design compensating controls when technical fixes are not feasible.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies.
• Ability to quantify true risk of vulnerability findings.
• Experience with risk management tools like Kenna Security or Brinqa is a plus.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations is a plus.
