In Short

• Manage tax software and implement new features and updates
• File Federal, State and local taxes with the appropriate tax authority
• Calculate adjustments, deductions, and credits for customers
• Maintain current tax rate or frequency for clients
• Calculate form preparation fees
• Respond to tax correspondence and research issues
• Maintain tax filing spreadsheets
• Assist customers in registering their business with tax agencies
• Check data input and verify totals on forms
• Resolve customer concerns relating to tax and systems issues

Requirements

• Experience in payroll tax compliance
• Familiarity with tax software
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Customer service experience
• Ability to adapt to changes in tax laws
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
