Overview

The Crisis Worker provides information, referral services, and crisis intervention services to the public and community professionals, available 24/7.

In Short

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Provides support and consultation to team partners
• Conducts assessments of suicide and other emergencies
• Maintains accurate documentation of client contacts
• Collaborates with staff to ensure client access to emergency assistance
• Engages in community outreach activities
• Stays current with ongoing training requirements
• Supports operations during disasters
• Ensures client rights and confidentiality are maintained
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma and experience in human services preferred
• Completion of Basic Crisis Intervention training required
• Availability for weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnights
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent computer skills
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of program procedures and contact center systems
