Finance Manager (Treasury and Payments) - Remote

Overview

The Finance Manager (Treasury and Payments) at GiveDirectly will oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global treasury and payments operations to ensure efficient, secure, and compliant disbursements at scale.

• Manage liquidity, foreign exchange, and cash operations across multiple currencies.
• Lead the Treasury team and support the Payment team.
• Build relationships with banks and payment providers.
• Implement and optimize Treasury Management Systems.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Support country teams in designing payment pathways.
• Drive efficiency through fraud detection and process improvements.
• Manage banking relationships and cash forecasting.
• Provide strategic treasury guidance to programs.
• Fluency in English required; knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required).
• 5+ years of professional finance experience, with at least 2+ years in treasury.
• Proven experience with banking and payment providers.
• Strong command of financial systems (e.g., Intacct, QuickBooks).
• Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel).
• Demonstrated success in process automation and financial controls.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced qualification (MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
