Overview

Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Birmingham office, working on municipal projects throughout Southeast Michigan.

In Short

  • Work on various public infrastructure engineering projects.
  • Responsibilities include geometrics, grading, and pavement design.
  • Involvement in soil erosion and sediment control.
  • Design utilities such as storm, sanitary, and water.
  • Manage stormwater and green infrastructure design.
  • Prepare traffic plans and details.
  • Conduct field visits and perform construction administration tasks.
  • Attend meetings and prepare permit applications and cost estimates.

Requirements

  • Civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of Civil Engineering experience required.
  • Experience in AutoCAD software is a must.
  • Preferred: Experience in Civil3D and with road, storm, sanitary, and water design.
  • Preferred: Experience in Bluebeam.
  • Exposure to Municipal projects is a plus.
