User Experience Design Instructor - Remote

Overview

As an instructor for General Assembly’s User Experience Design Immersive course, you will lead students through the user experience design process, helping them develop the skills and portfolio of a junior practitioner.

In Short

• Teach and facilitate in-class instruction Monday-Friday for 10-14 weeks.
• Prepare lessons and materials leveraging existing GA curriculum content.
• Provide meaningful feedback to students on their progress.
• Guide students in developing a final project to showcase their abilities.
• Facilitate a dynamic and positive classroom community.
• Inspire students to persevere through challenges.
• Deepen your own design skills through teaching.
• Work closely with co-instructors and GA staff.
• Challenge students to think strategically.
• Hone your leadership and teaching skills.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in user experience design.
• Fluency in Figma, UX Process, User Research, and other relevant topics.
• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
• Good moral character and strong decision-making abilities.
• Language, mathematical, reasoning, and computer skills for teaching effectiveness.
