Overview

As a Staff Data Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in leading the building, scaling, and maintaining of our data infrastructure with a focus on architecture, reliability, availability, and performance.

In Short

Design and implement scaling strategies for relational systems.
Proactively monitor and optimize database systems.
Manage a variety of database technologies.
Collaborate with data and product engineering teams.
Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) for automation.
Conduct performance tuning and incident response.
Document processes and best practices.

Requirements

Deep expertise in data and storage technologies.
Experience with advanced database scaling strategies.
Strong knowledge of high-availability architectures.
Experience with cloud-based database platforms.
Familiarity with message queues and ETL workflows.
Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, SQL.
Experience in an on-call rotation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
