Cloud Network Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Cloud Network Engineer will be part of the on-call support team for the new Fortinet IPS firewall system for SaaS production, working with internal teams to remediate and solve network and security vulnerability issues.

In Short

• Design, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud network security solutions in AWS.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of networking including routing, switching, and firewall.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to network security threats.
• Collaborate with other IT disciplines to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Participate in disaster recovery development and exercises.
• Maintain systems and documentation for audits and compliance.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and cloud security best practices.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Drive enhancements through full life cycle from concept to implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in cloud network security.
• Certifications preferred: AWS Certified, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE.
• Proficiency in automation using Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with network configuration protocols and tools.
• Knowledge of Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point firewalls.
• Experience with network security monitoring and log analysis tools.
