Senior Software Engineer (Rails / Next.js / AWS GovCloud) - Remote

Overview

FutureFeed is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build features across our Rails/PostgreSQL backend, React and Next.js frontends, and AWS GovCloud infrastructure.

In Short

• Work on a compliance SaaS platform for the Defense Industrial Base.
• Build end-to-end features in a hands-on role.
• Utilize Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, React, and Next.js.
• Engage with AWS GovCloud services like ECS and Lambda.
• Collaborate with a small, senior engineering team.
• Understand and debug across the entire stack.
• Work with AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Participate in in-person interviews and team gatherings.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Salary range is $125,000 - $175,000 per year.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in building production web applications.
• At least 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong frontend experience in React and Next.js.
• Fluency in database management and query optimization.
• AWS production experience is a plus.
• Ability to debug across the stack.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Experience with compliance frameworks is a plus.
• Comfortable working with AI coding tools.
• Background in security or regulated SaaS is nice to have.
