SmartBrief's Technology and Telecom Newsletter Editor is responsible for the production and quality of B2B email newsletters for tech and telecom professionals, plus other, related topics. You are passionate about tech and telecom content, express fluency in B2B publishing and are familiar with best practices for engaging newsletters.

In Short

• Curate, write and edit insightful and impactful B2B newsletters for professional tech & telecom readers, delivering high-quality product on deadline
• Collaborate with publishing partners to deepen industry knowledge, advise on newsletter best practices and capture priority content through the lens of important partner projects and sensitivities
• Monitor audience engagement and improve content to enhance content performance and deepen audience connection
• Develop and refresh newsletter content strategy, including content topics, source and sensitivity lists, production schedules and more for each assigned newsletter
• Pitch, write, and edit original content for tech, telecom and related professionals
• Support custom content programs with topic suggestions, line editing and writing on assets such as white papers and webinars
• Manage freelancer contributions to newsletters and other content
• Occasional onsite coverage of industry events

Requirements

• Three or more years of B2B publishing experience covering tech and telecom news
• Editing skills and comfort with using online publishing tools
• Edit quickly on deadline, starting at 7 a.m. ET, Monday through Friday
• Knowledge of Associated Press style
