Overview

This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States. We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a talented and cross-functional team of engineers specializing in iOS, Android, Go backend, React Native, and Flutter development. Your mission is to drive the creation of privacy-first, performant, and intuitive native libraries that capture relevant information about an application’s user experience—empowering FullStory teams to build best-in-class product analytics and session replay features.

In Short

  • Lead and collaborate with a team of 9 engineers across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, and Go).
  • Maintain a high technical bar, ensuring SDK performance, privacy, and usability meet industry-leading standards.
  • Contribute to the codebase where necessary—whether by designing architecture, debugging complex issues, or reviewing pull requests.
  • Work closely with product, sales, customer service and other engineering teams to align SDK capabilities with FullStory’s broader analytics and session replay platform.
  • Advocate for best practices in observability, testing, and CI/CD automation to ensure high code quality and minimal regressions.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development for team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Create a culture of ownership and accountability, empowering engineers to take initiative and drive high-impact projects.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment, ensuring clear communication across different disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Recruit and onboard top-tier engineers to grow the team in alignment with company needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong technical background in one or more of iOS or Android.
  • 1+ years of engineering management experience, leading teams that build and maintain complex software solutions.
  • Hands-on development experience in mobile SDKs, native libraries, or system-level engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage and scale engineering teams while maintaining a hands-on technical presence.
  • Deep understanding of mobile performance, memory management, and privacy-preserving data collection.
  • Strong ability to work across native mobile and multi-platform environments, ensuring seamless integration across various frameworks.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, balancing technical and product requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.

Benefits

  • Autonomy and flexibility with a remote-first work environment and flexible paid time off.
  • Sponsored benefit packages for US-based Fullstorians, and supplemental coverage options for international Fullstorians.
  • Professional development opportunities through training programs, career coaching sessions, and an annual learning subsidy.
  • Monthly productivity stipend and reimbursement for initial home office setup.
  • Connect with fellow Fullstorians through Employee Resource Group events and team off-sites.
  • Paid parental leave to balance the needs of growing families.
  • Global fertility and family building benefit.
  • Bereavement leave to support family needs.
  • Miscarriage/Pregnancy loss leave for Fullstorians and their partners.
