The Educational Interpreter provides support to students with hearing impairments by interpreting spoken language into sign language and vice versa, ensuring effective communication in educational settings.

In Short

• Fully remote position on a 1099 contract basis.
• Daily rate between $230 and $300, negotiable.
• Contract work year consists of 190 days, 8 hours per day, starting in July.
• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree and a valid Georgia Educational Interpreter License.
• Proficiency in sign language required for accurate interpretation.

• Familiarity with child development and core subjects is essential.
• Work under the supervision of classroom teachers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Valid Georgia Educational Interpreter License or equivalent.
• Proficiency in sign language interpretation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of educational content across various subjects.
• Ability to work with children, especially those with hearing impairments.
• Patience and emotional maturity are crucial.
• Experience with IEPs and behavior intervention plans preferred.
• Ability to assist with student assessments.
