Communications Assistant - Remote

Overview

The Communications Assistant will support the PETA communications team in outreach efforts and generating support and media coverage for PETA campaigns.

In Short

• Assist with administrative tasks for the Communications team.
• Draft meeting agendas and take detailed notes.
• Organize celebrity/influencer projects and campaigns.
• Track celebrity supporters and events.
• Maintain accurate records of correspondence and media hits.
• Research outreach opportunities through various channels.
• Draft communications to celebrities and the media.
• Coordinate celebrity and media mailings and giftings.
• Help organize tasks within the team’s project management system.
• Assist with other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in a fast-paced office setting.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of celebrity culture is required.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle high-profile interactions.
• Strong research and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Professional appearance required for public interactions.
