Contract Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Information Systems Security Manager - Remote

Overview

This role is designed for experienced cybersecurity practitioners to participate in a skills assessment pilot aligned to the Information Systems Security Manager (Work Role 722 / OG-WRL-014). The purpose of this engagement is assessment validation and standard-setting, not hiring, ranking, or performance evaluation.

In Short

• Complete a practitioner-level skills assessment
• Complete a short post-assessment survey
• No meetings, facilitation, reviews, or follow-up work
• This is a finite, transactional engagement with clearly defined deliverables
• Estimated completion time: Approximately 1 hour
• Assessment window: Must be completed within a defined assessment period
• Flat rate compensation based on experience and credentials
• Payment issued upon verified completion of the assessment and survey

Requirements

• Candidates must be current practitioners with applied, real-world experience in information systems security management
• Familiarity with information security program development and management
• Security policy development and implementation
• Risk management framework (RMF) implementation
• Security control assessment and authorization (A&A)
• Continuous monitoring and security posture management
• Security awareness and training program management
• Incident response planning and coordination
• Compliance management (FISMA, NIST, DoD regulations)
• Stakeholder communication and security briefings
