Part-Time Compliance Officer - Remote

Overview

As a Part-Time Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our organization remains compliant with SOC 2 Type 2 standards and assist with security reviews requested by clients.

In Short

• Assist in maintaining the company’s SOC 2 Type 2 compliance status.
• Lead response to security review requests from current and prospective clients.
• Manage annual security training for the entire organization.
• Manage and track ongoing compliance documentation and evidence.
• Maintain security-related policies and procedures.
• Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Prepare for annual audits, including collecting necessary documentation.
• Complete client-requested security reviews with minimal input from other team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their security review requests.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, able to work independently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a compliance, security, or audit role.
• Knowledge of SOC 2 Type 2 controls and requirements.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• A background in IT, cybersecurity, or related fields is a plus.
