Overview

As an LDRS System Engineer at Focused Energy, you will play a central role in translating cutting-edge laser-driven radiation source technology into robust, integrated products, ensuring compliance with technical, operational, and regulatory requirements.

In Short

• Define and maintain system-level specifications and ensure alignment across teams
• Drive requirements engineering, risk analysis, and system integration activities
• Develop and manage product roadmaps in close collaboration with engineering and leadership
• Secure implementation of learnings from system integration
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, OSHA, ISO)
• Lead product-level design reviews and ensure consistent quality in review processes
• Establish scalable systems engineering processes and build the foundation for a growing team

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering or technical program management in a high-tech environment
• Strong background in requirements engineering and risk-based development methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of engineering standards and safety regulations
• Solid technical foundation in physics or engineering
• Proficiency in German and ability to travel frequently
• Preferred: Proven track record of managing system-level integration efforts
