Junior Cyber Security Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Cyber Security Analyst is an entry-level position responsible for supporting Flat Branch’s cybersecurity operations with a strong emphasis on customer service. This role serves as the first point of contact for security-related inquiries and plays a key role in protecting the organization from cyber threats.

In Short

• Manage and respond to security-related tickets and incidents using the company ticketing system.
• Investigate emails reported as phishing or suspicious and determine appropriate follow-up actions.
• Review quarantined emails and determine whether they can be safely released.
• Monitor and triage security alerts, documenting findings and escalating as needed.
• Provide security support to end users via phone, chat, and email.
• Participate in security awareness training and communications.
• Work with security tools including email security, vulnerability management, and monitoring platforms.
• Assist with security-related projects and continuous improvement efforts.
• Work with cross functional teams on security-related projects and implementation.
• Occasional travel is required.

Requirements

• Strong customer service focus while adhering to security policies.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of information security concepts.
• Basic understanding of IT Infrastructure and networking.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to take on additional tasks within cybersecurity as required.
• Prior experience in IT support, help desk, or technical customer service (preferred).
• Relevant industry standard certification OR bachelor's degree in relevant field (preferred, not required).
