Overview

The Distribution Center Customer Service Associate is responsible for various clerical and customer service tasks to support the distribution center operations, including managing accounts receivable, processing orders, and ensuring accurate billing and reporting.

In Short

  • Manage annual store audit process and coding for bills.
  • Handle incoming customer service inquiries and sales orders.
  • Perform end of day accounting and bank reconciliations.
  • Process and correct EDI and receipts for incoming freight.
  • Generate and distribute monthly AR statements to stores.
  • Investigate credit card disputes and handle bad checks.
  • Ensure compliance with IBS contract requirements and processes.
  • Set up new rebate accounts and correct errors.
  • Maintain filing and document management systems.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of general office/clerical experience.
  • 1 year of bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Experience with JD Edwards/PeopleSoft is a plus.
  • Excellent phone and communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
  • Familiarity with document management systems is a plus.
