Senior Consultant in Livestock Supply Chains - Remote

Overview

As an FAI Senior Consultant, you will bring strong scientific and technical knowledge of the production, sustainability and welfare aspects within commercial farmed animal supply chains to the team. You will have worked with or in livestock supply chains for over five years. You will have experience of working with farmers and meat suppliers and/or food businesses as well as external stakeholders. You will have either existing project and client management expertise or a drive to develop these skills. You should be able to clearly communicate technical and practical aspects related to farmed animal production, in line with relevant animal welfare policies, legislation and scientific literature. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with strong technical expertise in either dairy or pork.

Requirements

• Degree level qualification in Agriculture or similar discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in livestock supply chains or agri-food businesses.
• Experience in stakeholder relations and collaborative work.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Project management skills including proposal writing and budgeting.
• Specialist knowledge in dairy or pork is desirable.
