VDC Plumbing Designer - Remote

Overview

We are a U.S.-based construction company seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VDC Plumbing Designer to support our virtual design and construction (VDC) efforts. This is a remote, independent contractor role, where the ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and marking up plumbing and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with U.S. plumbing codes and industry standards.

• Develop detailed water supply, drainage, venting, stormwater, and gas piping system layouts.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam to create accurate plumbing models.
• Provide constructability reviews and plumbing design expertise.
• Analyze plumbing plans and perform quality checks.
• Perform calculations for water supply and drainage loads.
• Ensure plumbing designs adhere to U.S. standards.
• Prepare technical reports and drawings for review.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in VDC plumbing design.
• Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of IPC, UPC, NFPA standards.
• Proficiency in English for collaboration with U.S. teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot design challenges.
• High level of accuracy in drawings and documentation.
• Reliable internet connection for remote work.
