Data Analyst - Remote

Overview

Equis is seeking a Data Analyst to support research projects that aim to deepen our understanding of how to engage Latinos in the political process.

In Short

• Independently explore data for insights about Latino communities.
• Transform data into findings through analysis and visualization using R, Python, and/or SQL.
• Communicate data-driven stories to internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate on survey data collection, including sampling and weighting.
• Contribute to the maintenance and development of Equis’ analysis codebase.
• Use version control and project management tools to manage tasks.
• Work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Participate in team meetings and retreats.
• Jump in where needed, from briefings to data clean-up.
• Contribute to the ideation and design of research projects.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience using R or Python for analysis.
• Understanding of statistics and methods of social research.
• Familiarity with census data and polling data.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
• Commitment to enhancing the well-being of the Latino community.
