Epoch AI is seeking a Researcher to support the Consultations and Insights team by providing rapid, authoritative analysis on AI developments for various stakeholders.

In Short

• Conduct on-demand research and analysis for external clients.
• Respond to client inquiries on diverse AI topics.
• Evaluate technical claims and synthesize findings into clear analysis.
• Manage multiple research projects with varying timelines.
• Provide rapid intelligence briefs on significant AI developments.
• Engage in consultation calls for targeted analysis.
• Work closely with Senior Researchers to expand the consultations program.
• Foster deep familiarity with Epoch's research work.
• Utilize estimation and forecasting skills for quantitative analysis.
• Encourage applications from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Requirements

• Intellectual curiosity and a fast learning speed.
• Strong estimation and forecasting skills.
• Prior research experience in the AI pipeline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Epoch's body of work is a plus.
• Prior experience as analysts or researchers is beneficial but not required.
• Willingness to apply even if not meeting all requirements.
