Senior Ecologist - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Ecologist, you will lead on securing, creating and monitoring EBs network of sites across England with a particular focus in your defined geographical region, contributing to large scale nature recovery projects.

In Short

• Lead and manage Habitat Bank projects from initiation to creation.
• Conduct ecological survey work including site walkovers and habitat assessments.
• Analyse ecological data and prepare Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
• Design and create Habitat Management Plans with technical support.
• Build relationships with landowners and stakeholders.
• Organise and undertake monitoring surveys for existing Habitat Banks.

Requirements

• Experience in ecological survey and habitat management.
• Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain and statutory metrics.
• Proficiency in GIS for habitat mapping.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
