Head of Finance (Maternity Cover) - Remote

Overview

This role is required as maternity cover for the current Head of Finance. The current role is responsible for leading both the financial control and commercial finance functions. This is a key leadership role that combines financial governance with commercial insights, ensuring robust financial reporting, business partnering, and strategic decision support whilst developing and mentoring a finance team.

In Short

• Lead financial reporting activities ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
• Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Maintain financial controls and ensure strong governance across transactions.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
• Work alongside the Asset Manager as a finance business partner.
• Assist in developing financial models for habitat banks.
• Support CFO in long-term financial planning.
• Drive improvements in financial systems and processes.
• Lead and develop the finance team for high performance.
• Foster collaboration between finance, sales, and land teams.

Requirements

• ACCA/ACA qualified.
• Commercial acumen and a forward-thinking approach.
• Strong communication skills for effective relationship building.
