Overview

As a Tech Lead at Entain's In-House Studios, you will play a crucial role in leading your team to deliver exceptional gaming products, combining technical expertise with leadership.

In Short

• Oversee the team’s technical development, ensuring smooth collaboration between front-end and back-end efforts
• Write and review code, contributing directly to either front-end development in JavaScript or back-end development in C++
• Manage and mentor team members, fostering their growth and building a high-performing team
• Support SDETs in integrating QA processes into the development cycle
• Provide technical leadership, making key decisions on architecture and tools
• Act as the team’s primary decision-maker, balancing project requirements and team capacity
• Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to implement best practices
• Work closely with the Principal SDET to ensure quality processes are upheld
• Report progress and challenges to the Engineering Manager
• Advocate for technical improvements that enhance performance and efficiency

Requirements

• Proven expertise in front-end development using JavaScript or back-end development using C++
• Strong understanding of integration between front-end and back-end systems
• Experience leading and managing development teams
• Familiarity with QA practices and tools
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of source control software
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with industry standards in software engineering and QA
• Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant field
