In Short

• Define and execute the vision and roadmap for Data Science at Engine.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing Data Science team.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to optimize pricing, search, and recommendations.
• Work closely with engineering to build a scalable data infrastructure.
• Partner with product and business leaders to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
• Establish best practices for experimentation, model evaluation, and A/B testing.
• Advocate for a data-driven culture, ensuring insights drive decision-making at all levels.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging AI technologies relevant to travel.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and scaling data science teams.
• Deep expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
• Experience working with large-scale data sets, cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and data pipelines.
• Background in marketplace, travel, or e-commerce industries is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex insights into business impact.
