Overview

Encoura is seeking a mission-driven Software Architect to join our Data Science Team, playing a foundational role in shaping the software architecture that powers our predictive modeling, data enrichment, and analytics products.

• Architect scalable systems to support predictive models and data workflows.
• Spearhead AI-enabled automation for data processing.
• Build high-throughput pipelines for model validation and scoring.
• Optimize Databricks workspaces for large-scale data processing.
• Implement Delta Lake for reliable data storage and versioning.
• Design systems for model lifecycle management using MLflow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative architecture.
• Develop REST and GraphQL APIs for data science services.
• Leverage AWS and Docker for computational resource management.
• Implement observability practices for workflow performance monitoring.

Requirements

• Passionate about deploying scalable software products from data science.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar environments.
• Advanced Python skills with libraries like Pandas and PySpark.
• Proven experience in designing data pipelines for ML workflows.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD best practices.
• Expertise in developing APIs for ML models.
• Experience in higher education or analytics is a plus.
• Knowledge of model management and distributed computing preferred.
• Exposure to business intelligence and cost optimization strategies preferred.
