EJD Assortment Planner - Remote

Overview

The Assortment Planner is responsible for analyzing Retailer’s POS data to provide insight on the most productive departments and assortments needed for the Retailer’s customer base, as well as recommending department locations and category adjacencies for new ground-up stores, remodels, relocations, expansions, and consolidations.

In Short

• Create fixture floor plan layouts and recommend department and merchandise adjacencies.
• Interface directly with retailers to advise on store layout and assortment selection.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to understand local market and competition.
• Perform assortment analysis using customer POS data and communicate findings.
• Educate and train the Retail Execution field team on floor layout best practices.
• Stay current with marketplace trends impacting store design/layout.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Utilize reporting tools like Power BI and Excel for data analysis.
• Assist in identifying replacement SKUs and manage assortment maintenance.
• Provide consultative support to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of assortment planning experience.
• Experience in the Hardware or Pro Lumberyard industry.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with CAD.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Collaborative approach with retailers and teams.
• Passionate about the Hardware, Pro, and Paint industry.
• Creative and adaptable with strong follow-through.
