Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accountant - Remote

Overview

Elite Insurance Partners (EIP) is a nationally recognized insurance brokerage headquartered in Tampa, FL, known for its rapid growth and top workplace awards. We are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accountant to lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and modeling while managing core accounting responsibilities.

In Short

• Create and manage detailed financial and sales forecasts, budgets, and long-term models
• Lead monthly and quarterly financial analysis; identify and explain key variances
• Collaborate with department leaders on strategic planning and performance insights
• Support accounting operations: journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations
• Prepare executive-level reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and variance reports
• Assist with cash flow forecasting, scenario modeling, and ad hoc projects
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
• Coordinate with external partners for audits, tax filings, and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred)
• 5+ years in a blended FP&A/accounting or corporate finance role
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with tools like QuickBooks, NetSuite, or BI platforms
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Based in or willing to relocate to Tampa, FL (remote optional only for exceptional candidates)
