Part Time Student Loan Counselor - Remote

Overview

The Student Loan Counselor role involves providing exceptional customer experiences by communicating with clients about their federal student loans and offering repayment options throughout the loan lifecycle.

In Short

• Make outbound calls to counsel students on managing their student loans.
• Inform borrowers of their responsibilities and consequences of default.
• Maintain accurate documentation of borrower accounts.
• Stay updated on laws and regulations affecting student loan repayment.
• Conduct internet searches to locate new contact information for borrowers.
• Participate in work group activities to improve processes.
• Handle calls from a predictive dialer system.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Requirements

• At least one year of office/business, clerical or customer service experience.
• Preferred experience in a call center and financial industry.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
