Senior Private College Counselor (Part-time) - Remote

Overview

ESM Prep is seeking a part-time Senior College Coach to build meaningful relationships with students, help them to successfully navigate high school, and guide them effectively and compassionately through all aspects of the college application process.

In Short

• Build relationships with students to navigate high school and college applications.
• Guide students through the Common App, UC App, and more.
• Discuss SAT/ACT testing paths and help build college lists.
• Support students in developing their college essays.
• Manage academic and extracurricular decisions for students.
• Provide mentorship ensuring social and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with a team on best practices for student success.
• Flexible work hours primarily in weekday afternoons/evenings and some weekends.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in college consulting.
• Remote work with reliable internet access for video conferencing.

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years direct experience in college consulting or college admissions.
• Advanced understanding of the college search and application process.
• Dynamic coaching personality and ability to build relationships.
• Desire to mentor students over multiple years.
• Capacity for guiding parents through challenging decisions.
• Collaborative spirit and willingness to work with a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable internet access for video conferencing.

Benefits

• Compensation wage: $75-$125/hr for work with students.
• Additional hourly compensation for training and team meetings.
