Senior Biologist - Remote

Overview

Ecora is seeking a Senior Biologist to join our expanding Environmental Group. The position will be based in Kelowna or Vancouver to support our growing workload in BC. We are looking for an experienced consulting biologist with a sound technical background in terrestrial and wildlife ecology and strong leadership and project management skills.

In Short

• Design, coordinate, and lead field studies related to terrestrial ecosystems and wildlife.
• Analyze and interpret ecological data for environmental assessments.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports in compliance with environmental legislation.
• Liaise with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Lead and support multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development.
• Collaborate with team members across the company.
• Complete corporate operation activities as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor or graduate degree in Biology, Ecology, or related field.
• Professional Biologist designation (R.P.Bio or P.Biol) in good standing.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Expertise in terrestrial ecology and wildlife biology.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Experience managing project tasks and budgets.
• Strong communication skills, including technical writing.
