In Short

• Localize all marketing and product copies for Arabic learners.
• Attend meetings to discuss translations and align on style.
• Contribute to the development of in-house style guides for Arabic.
• Conduct QA on the live app for Arabic content.
• Native fluency in Arabic and professional fluency in English required.
• 3+ years of experience in translation and proofreading.
• Experience localizing online, mobile, or game products.
• A portfolio of past work is necessary.
• Ability to work 5-15 hours per week.
• Strong interest in Duolingo and its mission.

Requirements

• Native fluency in Arabic and full professional fluency in English.
• 3+ years of experience in translating, transcreation, proofreading, and/or copywriting for an Arabic audience.
• Experience localizing online, mobile, and/or game products.
• A portfolio of past work to demonstrate your expertise.
• Strong interest in Duolingo and our mission.
• Ability to work 5-15 hrs/week (workload may vary from week to week).
