Overview

Simply Recipes is seeking a contract Visual Editor to manage visual requests from the editorial team, including briefing photographers and illustrators, reviewing and editing photography, and creating graphics and composites for the website and social platforms.

In Short

• Assist Art Director with all aspects of visual production for Simply Recipes.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure smooth delivery of visual assets.
• Source and edit stock photography according to brand style.
• Assign recipe photography and complete top-level final edits.
• Create graphics and composites for articles based on editorial requests.

Requirements

• 3+ years working in digital media with experience in photography and graphic design.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Strong visual skills for evaluating art and photography.
• Creative visual solutions for editorial content.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Adept at communicating via Slack and Zoom.
• Strong written communication skills for collaboration.
• Love of food and cooking is a plus.
