Civil Construction AutoCAD Designer & Drafter - Remote

Overview

The AutoCAD Designer & Drafter will play a key role in creating detailed technical drawings based on specifications, collaborating with cross functional teams to translate concepts into precise drawings for various projects, ensuring all drawings adhere to company standards and project deadlines.

In Short

• Developing surface models and CAD drafting utilizing Trimble Business Center.
• Utilize surveying principles to coordinate systems and manage geospatial data.
• Spot errors in point clouds and alignments before field issues arise.
• Create accurate linework and deliverables for construction.
• Work with surveyors and engineers to refine models.
• Stay updated on new TBC features and industry best practices.
• Check for elevation discrepancies and mismatches between design plans and real-world sites.
• Communicate with paving superintendents and surveyors to troubleshoot models.
• Prepare models for machine guidance.
• Maintain organized project structures while handling large datasets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Strong grasp of survey principles and geospatial data management.
• Proficient in CAD & Drafting.
• Experience with Field-to-Office Workflows.
• Knowledge of Machine Control & Site Prep.
• Experience with Control & Alignment Management.
• Understanding of Stringless Paving.
• Attention to Detail and Strong Data Management Skills.
• Problem-Solving Mindset.
• Communication & Collaboration skills.
