Web Maintenance Engineer – Craft CMS Specialist - Remote

Overview

We're looking for a skilled Web Maintenance Engineer with strong experience in Craft CMS to join our client's growing web operations team. This role is focused on supporting multiple live websites through regular maintenance, updates, and monitoring — with the potential to expand into development work later on.

In Short

• Craft CMS Core Updates
• Keep the Craft CMS installation up to date with the latest stable versions to ensure continued access to new features, optimal performance, and robust security.
• Plugin Updates
• Regularly update all installed plugins to maintain compatibility, enhance performance, and close off any known vulnerabilities.
• Server Maintenance
• Apply all relevant server patches and software updates in a timely manner to maintain a secure and reliable hosting environment.
• Disk Space Monitoring
• Monitor disk space usage proactively to avoid capacity issues that could impact website performance or uptime.
• Form Functionality Testing
• Routinely test all key site forms to confirm they are working correctly and that submissions are being properly received and routed.
• Uptime Monitoring
• Implement uptime checks every five minutes to ensure immediate awareness of any downtime or accessibility issues, enabling prompt response.
• Monthly Maintenance Reports
• Provide a concise monthly report summarising the updates, patches, checks, and any issues resolved during the month, ensuring full transparency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of fullstack web development experience
• Strong LEMP stack skills (Linux, Nginx, MariaDB, PHP)
• Strong Craft CMS knowledge
• Proficient in Tailwind CSS v2
