Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Frontend Focus) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to become the primary frontend expert in our Application Platform team. While your core focus will be Angular development, you will also contribute to backend services (Node.js) as we build a scalable, enterprise-ready platform.

In Short

• Take ownership of the frontend for the deskbird Application Platform, currently serving 100,000+ monthly active users, ensuring a scalable, maintainable, and high-performance Angular codebase.
• Develop reusable components and design system elements that improve consistency and efficiency across product teams.
• Coach and review other developers working on the Application Platform frontend.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs.
• Build highly integrated features like user signup and authentication flows.
• Optimise application performance, accessibility, and user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to validate features early.
• Lead cross-cutting technical initiatives that impact multiple teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development, with a strong emphasis on frontend engineering (Angular, TypeScript, RxJS).
• The ability to convert beautiful designs into high quality code.
• Experience with reusable components, design systems and/or storybook.
• At least basic backend development skills with Node.js and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation and modern web architecture best practices.
• Proficiency with authentication, authorisation (OAuth, OIDC), and security best practices.
• A good understanding of the latest developments in AI code generation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with fluency in English.
• A collaborative mindset, balancing ownership of frontend responsibilities.
• The following are a plus:
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of monorepos (Nx).
  • Experience with GCP and/or Firebase.
