Overview

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Technical Writer to join our Product Documentation team as we support the company in achieving top-priority objectives & key results.

• Create documentation that helps data practitioners use dbt effectively.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Developer Experience teams.
• Balance deep product knowledge with a beginner's perspective.
• Mentor less-senior writers and manage documentation projects.
• Troubleshoot ongoing issues and improve content strategy.
• Provide editorial feedback to peers.
• Experience with dbt or data is preferred.
• Work asynchronously as part of a distributed team.
• Contribute to open source projects is a plus.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical documentation.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
