Backend Engineer - Python - Remote

Overview

As part of dātma’s continued growth, we are looking for a backend engineer that has experience with Python to join our growing framework development team in the field of Precision Medicine and Bioinformatics.

In Short

• Develop and implement a highly performant distributed system in Python.
• Execute data analysis pipelines in various languages (Golang, R, etc.).
• Collaborate in a team environment to solve complex data challenges.
• Design and implement RESTful web services and APIs.
• Work with SQL or other relational databases.
• Address concurrency issues and race conditions.
• Participate in an Agile development methodology.
• Improve existing solutions and learn new technologies.
• Optional experience in bioinformatics and DevOps.
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
• 2+ years of experience with Python.
• 1+ year of Golang development experience (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Interest in improving existing solutions.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Optional: experience in the field of bioinformatics.
• Optional: DevOps experience.
