Overview

As a Video Editor on Darkroom’s internal Marketing Team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the visual storytelling behind our brand.

In Short

  • Edit and produce standout content across short-form and long-form formats.
  • Create native video formats optimized for various social media platforms.
  • Build engaging hooks and apply motion graphics that support performance.
  • Collaborate with the Video Lead on edits and narrative framing.
  • Organize and manage footage to create a systemized pipeline.
  • Understand performance data to refine editing strategies.
  • Stay updated on editing trends and platform algorithm shifts.
  • Apply finishing touches that align with the Darkroom brand language.
  • Maintain high audio fidelity and visual clarity across deliverables.
  • Support post-production for Darkroom’s podcast and event recordings.

Requirements

  • 3-4+ years of experience editing content for social-first brands.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Final Cut, with knowledge of After Effects.
  • Strong storytelling, pacing, and rhythm skills.
  • Understanding of performance-driven editing.
  • Ability to optimize content across multiple formats.
  • Collaborative and communicative with a feedback-oriented mindset.
  • Organized and meticulous in workflow management.
